AIMS & OBJECTIVES

To ensure that the children young and old adults with physical disabilities have opportunities to become contributing member of their communities and are in control of their own destinies. To develop and maintain public awareness, to operate facilities and / or provide services a may be identified as being required.

Al-Shifa is dedicated to ensuring that the children, adults young and old with physical disabilities, receive opportunities to achieve their maximum potential for independence within their family and their community. In recognition of the essential uniqueness of each patient, Al-Shifa strives to provide services and treatment to the individual needs.

The primary role of Al-Shifa is to provide rehabilitation services which contribute towards, physical, education, communication, psychological and social needs of the children, adults, young and old providing, coordinating and advocating for delivery of diagnostic, therapeutic and counseling services and the provision of technical devices.

• To offer the best treatment and education services to children, adults, young and old patients.
• To respond to population growth and changing community needs by identifying required programs and implementing same as they are approved.
• q Establishing on-going programs of training in the fields of Physiotherapy, Speech therapy and Special education.
• Working Co-operatively with other local agencies and government bodies in the planning and delivery of services.
• To facilitate the integration of children and young adults with physical disabilities into the community in cooperation with the public sector. q To develop professional expertise among staff in order to provide the best possible care for patients and families.
• To enhance the publics awareness of the abilities and needs of the children and people with physical disabilities.
• Improving the public's awareness of the purpose, programs and resources of the centre and to stimulate public support.
• To safeguard and ensure appropriate use of resources.
• To pursue and maintain an accredited services in accordance with the international standards.
